The only time it might be acceptable to give your kiddos M&M’s for breakfast is when you sneak in a little protein at the same time!
Sundays are my favorite time to get in the kitchen, most of the time with my 5 year old; Hayden, and bake/meal prep for the week. This week I am sharing one of our on-the-go snacks. The best part is I am not sure who likes them more, me or Hayden!!
The original recipe is from Hy-vee.com – the thing I like the most about cooking and baking is when it doesn’t take FOREVER to make something and even longer for it to cook. This is a throw everything together and enjoy recipe, the best kind!
1/3c. Old-Fashioned Oats
1/3 c. Creamy Peanut Butter
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. Mini M&M’s
1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Dash Salt
Mix all ingredients together, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before rolling into balls, then roll in M&M’s and Oats if desired, & enjoy! Makes about 12.
Be on the look out later this week for some Valentine’s recipes/daycare treats! I am Holiday obsessed over here 😉
