I know what your thinking…. I’m the crazy person wearing a fur vest in Spring.
But really its not that bad! I promise. This is one of my lighter fur vest. When most people think of fur vest they think of the thick ones that keep you warm in the fall and winter months. But this one here I like more for Spring. I’m just not ready to put this away yet. It is super light weight. Not a ton of fur on it (faux fur), but enough obviously to call it a fur vest. Also this is a white color which is the perfect color for Spring. It’s so light that it makes the outfit pop! With it being that white color it can also go with pretty much anything. Another great thing about this vest is that it fits perfectly with my body. Most vest can be square and bulky, but this one just lays flat in all the right areas. What I love to use this vest for is an accent piece on an outfit. I have so many outfits that I put together and they look decent with out the vest but once I add it I feel like it just makes the biggest difference and makes the outfit complete.
Today I paired this vest with this fun dark burgundy velvet top! One of the things that I love about this top is the high neckline and how the short sleeves are longer then usual. It gives it less of a regular t-shirt feel and makes the top feel more stylish. Obviously the very first thing that caught my eye on this top is the velvet look and feel. It was just so different and I loved that about it. The length of this top is perfect it gives me just enough room to tuck it in if I want, or if I want to leave it untucked it doesn’t hang too long, but also doesn’t come up short. Last thing, this top is actually super comfortable! It is so lightweight and its weird to say but it actually has a cool (temperature wise) feeling to it when wearing. Best thing is that it is only $9 and comes in a bunch of different colors.
I wore my favorite pair of denim with this outfit. These are high waisted Levi jeans that have 2 distressed areas on the knees. I probably over wear these jeans because I am a little obsessed with them. But hey when you love it, you love it, and you just wear the crap out of it! haha
To complete this look I had these booties I bought in the fall that matched perfectly with the top! So really how could I not wear them together? It was just meant to be. The buckle details on the booties is the the topping on the cake. This whole outfit went great together in so many ways.
